Main Duties and Responsibilities
This position may be required to work weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for the organization of the storage area for spare parts and services inventory.
- Responsible for proper labelling (bar coding) and categorizing of all spare parts.
- Responsible for cycle counts and physical inventories weekly according to audit schedule and update inventory in KSoft.
- Responsible for the creation of new item numbers, and adjust descriptions when needed.
- Assist finance by receiving all applicable inventory, consignments and services; accrue for all un‑received goods/services at month end.
- Responsible for the elimination of excess inventory that is obsolete.
- Receive material into the system (KSoft) and stocking the spare part items into their proper/most efficient location.
- Physically receive all parts delivered.
- Obtain shipping document and verify all parts delivered against PO ordered parts for accuracy.
- Accurately enter receipts into KSoft, with scans of delivery documents (Docuware).
- Accurately tag/stock inventory items.
- Notify the EE that ordered, of requisitioned capital project or work order parts on arrival.
- Keep hard copy files of all receiving documents.
- Receive services and capital expense invoices from finance (KSoft/Docuware/hardcopy).
- Responsible for the control process on which items are taken out of the storeroom especially consumables/managing inventory of vending machines.
- Issue and retain files on all issued inventory in KSoft for all employees.
- Develop demands for ordering of miscellaneous parts when needed.
- Work with the Purchasing Manager and Buyer on predicting usage and stock accordingly for all special projects/downtime with consumable vendor.
- Assist Production, Maintenance and Contractors in locating parts within KSoft and storeroom.
- Outside repairs of inventory, tools, radios, micrometres etc.
- Assist with the creation of demands for repairs, packing slip for vendors and pickup request.
- Assist with inside repairs when applicable.
- Create repair article, return item to KSoft, tag and stock.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all inventory areas.
- Operate multiple sizes of fork trucks depending on job.
- Unload vans, flatbeds and containers in a timely and quality-minded manner as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under stress, provide detailed work, sound reasoning, and meet required deadlines.
- Flexibility in duties, analytical mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional self‑motivation and direction, organized, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work consistently on a concrete plant production floor and in multiple environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc.).
- Good vision, with or without corrective lenses.
- Availability for on‑call and periodic overtime.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift (minimum 50 lbs unassisted), sit or stand for extended periods, kneel and move for extended periods.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to utilize appropriate equipment and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience operating a fork truck.
Physical Job Requirements
- Sitting, climbing, lifting, push/pulling, dust mask, hard hat and high‑visibility vest required up to one‑third of the time.
- Walking, reaching and bending frequently required one‑third to one‑half of the time.
- Seeing, hearing, standing, dexterity, written and verbal communication, ear plugs, safety glasses and safety footwear continuously required two‑thirds or more of the time.
