Mode Search is supporting a leading contemporary fashion brand in the search for a Store Manager. This role is focused on driving commercial performance, leading a high-performing team, and delivering an elevated client experience while ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the store.

The position is based in-store within a retail environment, operating within a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. The Store Manager reports directly to the Area Manager and works closely with cross-functional teams including retail operations, HR, visual merchandising, marketing, logistics, and head office functions.

The role

  • Drive overall store performance, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are consistently achieved
  • Analyse business trends and implement action plans to maximise growth opportunities
  • Align daily operations and strategy with wider business objectives and seasonal priorities
  • Produce regular performance reports for senior management
  • Oversee visual merchandising standards and ensure consistent brand presentation
  • Manage all omnichannel services, ensuring seamless integration across customer touchpoints
  • Plan and execute in-store events in collaboration with central teams
  • Maintain high standards of store organisation, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee stock control, deliveries, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a strong and motivated store team
  • Lead, coach, and inspire team members to achieve both individual and team targets
  • Act as a role model in delivering exceptional customer service and sales excellence
  • Ensure team training across product knowledge, styling, and brand values
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development
  • Manage employee relations in line with company policies
  • Build and maintain a loyal client base through proactive client engagement strategies
  • Drive client outreach initiatives and appointment-based selling to increase traffic and sales
  • Ensure a seamless, personalised customer journey across all interactions
  • Strengthen local community engagement through events and relationship-building

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in store management with team leadership responsibility
  • Background in premium or high-end retail, preferably within fashion or lifestyle sectors
  • Strong experience with CRM tools and clienteling strategies
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving KPIs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a results-driven team
  • Strong organisational skills with a clear understanding of retail operations
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and inform decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Confident, service-driven, and comfortable in a client-facing environment
  • Proactive, independent, and collaborative in approach
  • Adaptable and responsive to change within a dynamic retail environment
  • Positive, resilient, and motivated by both personal and team success
