Schneider Electric’s eStar prosumer business is focused on empowering consumers to manage their energy. This includes integrating renewable energy sources with digital energy management, enabling individuals and businesses to generate, store, optimize, and potentially monetize energy. This role reports to the Head of Solutions. This role is an individual contributor.

Our portfolio spans: EV chargers; Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS); Load management & microgrid solutions; a unique cloud platform enabling full‑lifecycle supervision of charging stations and distributed energy assets (commissioning, operations, maintenance).

Position Overview

Offer Manager – responsible for full responsibility for C&I Storage offers as well as Software (EVCE) – the digital intelligence connecting chargers, storage, buildings, and the grid.

Grenoble (France).

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap
    • Define and own the BESS + EVCE software vision, grounded in customer use cases (peak shaving, load shifting, global load management, resiliency, V2X readiness, PV & EV charging co‑optimization, etc.).
    • Build a data‑driven hardware + software roadmap with clear value hypotheses, priorities, dependencies, and release plans.
    • Develop pricing & packaging of Storage and EVCE software offers (subscriptions, digital services, SLA tiers, warranty constructs).
    • Ensure detailed and updated competitive intelligence—including product specs, digital services, software features, pricing models, and delivery parameters.
    • Define the value proposition & product strategy for Storage and EVCE cloud services, aligned with the eStar vision.
    • Build market segmentations and PAM/CAGR strategies, including applications, architectures, and customer personas.
    • Support global business development through business cases, product guidance, data analysis, quality reviews, and cost analysis for both storage and EVCE software.
    • Create and manage the Squad backlog, release map, and roadmap for Storage and EVCE.
    • Ensure offer vitality with quarterly review of sales, gross margin, digital attach, quality, and performance metrics.
    • Collaborate with squads on agile execution, act as voice of the customer, share outcomes, and synchronize with companion squads (connectivity, digital services, EV charging).
  • EVCE‑Specific Responsibilities
    • Own the EVCE software product strategy, defining features for commissioning, O&M, remote diagnostics, fleet energy management, and microgrid orchestration.
    • Drive integration between EVCE, BESS, EV chargers, and building systems, ensuring interoperability, scalability, and cybersecurity compliance.
    • Define EVCE‑specific KPIs (uptime, connectivity rate, telemetry completeness, digital service attach, software performance).
    • Manage the software release lifecycle (functional specs, prioritization, beta testing, UX feedback, GA readiness).
    • Coordinate with digital architecture, cloud, IoT, and cybersecurity teams to ensure platform reliability, resilience, and compliance.
    • Lead customer feedback loops on digital offerings with service teams, fleet operators, installers, and facility managers.
    • Ensure alignment between hardware/firmware roadmaps and EVCE cloud capabilities.
  • Product Governance & Execution
    • Translate customer needs into requirements across hardware, firmware, and software, ensuring traceability and compliance with safety, reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
    • Drive Go‑To‑Market readiness for Storage and EVCE, aligning offers, pricing, digital services, documentation, and training.
    • Lead KPIs from pilot to scale, including customer adoption, digital activation, and software/hardware attach rates.
    • Oversee strategic suppliers, digital partners, and procurement alignment (dual sourcing, regionalization, inventory strategy, NPI readiness).

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/power Engineering, Energy Systems, Mechatronics, or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in product or project development, ideally in BESS, Power Electronics, EMS, Microgrids or EV infrastructure.
  • Experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager (hardware‑software combined).
  • Proven experience driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Strong business acumen and customer‑value mindset.
  • Curiosity and passion for the new energy landscape (EV charging, storage, digital services).
  • Strong understanding of P&L, margins, sales, orders.
  • Knowledge of the Prosumer industry (EV charging, storage, inverters) plus cloud‑based services (commissioning, O&M, energy management).
  • Demonstrated experience in Storage + Software (cloud, SaaS) environments.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management practices.
  • Ability to articulate vision and communicate effectively across technical teams, business leaders, and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills, segmentation and persona thinking.
  • Systems thinking, data‑driven decision making, stakeholder influencing skills.
