State Farmers Market Receptionist

Description of Work
The Raleigh State Farmers Market is one of North Carolina’s premier state-owned destinations, offering a vibrant, year-round marketplace for dozens of permanent vendors and hundreds of growers from across the state and region. Open seven days a week, the market connects the public with fresh produce, locally crafted goods, and seasonal specialties directly from farms and homes.
We are seeking a friendly, service-oriented Receptionist to support the Administrative Office at the Raleigh State Farmers Market. In this role, you will be a welcoming first point of contact for visitors, providing helpful information about market events, activities, and services. You will greet guests, assist governmental officials hosting meetings on-site, and provide essential administrative support. This position also serves as a backup to the Administrative Assistant when needed, helping ensure smooth daily operations.
Position may include night, weekend, and/or holiday work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Management Preferences
Recruitment Range: $31,200 - $44,000
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficient in computer typing and calculating skills
- Ability to communicate professionally in both oral and written form
- Ability to utilize office equipment and other technology (computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, etc.)

Minimum Education and Experience

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
