Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Standardization Engineer (f/m) to join the Materials and Processes Team in Toulouse, France. The Standardization Team coordinates and delivers standard documents that define the standard products purchased for use in Airbus aircraft. We create and maintain the standard data for use in design, production, in-service and procurement across all Airbus operations, covering cabin, mechanical and electrical systems installations.
Responsibilities
- Manage standardization within an agreed technical perimeter.
- Coordinate standardization in a local context using the tools and documents locally adopted.
- Data management to support local needs.
- Participate in the development of digital standards for end‑to‑end data continuity in collaboration with data specialists.
- Drive improvement projects.
- Represent Airbus in public standard bodies (AFNOR, DIN, BSI, EN, ISO, etc.) and influence national or international standardization activities.
- Capture, share and deploy knowledge, best practices and lessons learned.
- Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
- Support internal customers.
- Contribute to the development of team collaboration skills and ensure mutual assistance across the international team.
- Coordinate stakeholders such as Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, In‑Service, Materials and Products Qualification teams.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Good understanding of standard documents and their usage in Airbus domains: Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Customer Service.
- Knowledge of document management and a dedication to high‑level quality work.
- Basic understanding of data management.
- Leadership approach to unify stakeholders toward agreed objectives.
- Global awareness of Airbus organization and processes in Design, Materials and Processes.
- Background in design or manufacturing is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership, pro‑activity, and energy to anticipate and support change.
- Capacity to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
- Advanced English proficiency.
