Stage : 3D Sensors and Autonomous Systems for Medical Applications - Developpement Capteurs 3D et systèmes autonomes pour application médicale

Six-month internship at GE HealthCare's Buc site focusing on 3D sensor characterization and autonomous systems development for medical robotics applications. The intern will evaluate sensor performance, improve data processing, and contribute to demonstrator refinement using embedded systems and 3D perception technologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand embedded environment, existing sensors, and current processing methods
• Analyze data quality and enhance robustness of processing algorithms
• Implement calibration, sensor fusion, filtering, and point-cloud processing techniques
• Integrate and interface electronic components with the embedded system
• Improve 3D surface reconstruction and scene coverage performance

Requirements

• Final-year engineering or Master's student in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, or equivalent
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and electronic integration
• Knowledge of 3D geometry and spatial transformations
• Experience with 3D frameworks like VTK, point cloud processing, or embedded systems preferred
• Analytical skills, autonomy, rigor, and clear communication abilities
