Staff Product Designer, Prototypes

About The Role

Miro is looking for a visionary Staff Product Designer to lead the charge for our Prototypes product. This role is focused on defining the future of how millions of people bring their ideas to life, especially with AI as a core capability.

What You’ll Do

• Define and drive the North Star for Miro Prototyping, articulating a vision that disrupts the norms and looks where the market is going.
• Be a tireless innovator in the AI space, exploring how generative AI can collapse the gap between a rough sketch and a fully functioning app.
• Approach the product with an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of ownership, navigating ambiguity, building lean experiments, and treating the Prototyping mode as your own startup within Miro.
• Leverage deep understanding of the design tool landscape to create a best‑in‑class experience that rivals competitors while maintaining Miro’s ease of use and considering our other suite of formats.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to solve complex technical challenges around AI quality, discoverability, and the seamless transition between the “infinite canvas” and “Prototypes Focus Mode.”
• Set the bar for design excellence, mentoring other designers and contributing to the evolution of our design systems and internal tooling.

What You’ll Need

• 10+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or AI‑focused roles.
• At least 2-3 years operating at a Staff / Principal level, with proven ownership of complex initiatives.
• A strong portfolio showcasing user‑focused products and strategies with impact on user experience and business goals.
• Deep understanding of AI and AI design tooling, with evidence of leading the charge.
• Proven experience working closely with cross‑functional teams, including product management, UX design, and engineering.
• Deep understanding of UX practices, information architecture, and user‑centered design methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate the value of design across diverse teams.
• A proactive and flexible approach, comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Experience with design tools, editors, or creative software is a massive plus.
