This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff/Lead Platform/DevOps Engineer based in France.

In this role, you will design scalable cloud infrastructure, strengthen platform reliability, and enable engineering teams to deliver products faster and more efficiently. Working in a collaborative, remote-first environment, you'll tackle complex infrastructure challenges across Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and Infrastructure as Code. You'll play a key role in shaping multi-region architectures, improving observability, and driving automation initiatives that support rapid growth. Accountabilities:

As a Staff/Lead Platform/DevOps Engineer, you will strengthen the engineering platform while enabling development teams to build, deploy, and operate reliable applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support engineering teams by maintaining resilient Kubernetes environments and providing guidance on platform best practices.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform while contributing to the migration toward Crossplane.
  • Build and enhance internal platform services and automation tools, including Python-based solutions.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across multiple regions, including Kubernetes clusters, IAM, networking, and identity management.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, investigate infrastructure incidents, and drive root cause analysis to improve platform reliability.
  • Lead initiatives related to multi-region deployments, single-tenant environments, and Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) architectures.
  • Improve observability by implementing dashboards, monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions.
  • Contribute to FinOps initiatives by optimizing cloud resource usage and improving cost visibility across environments.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers to streamline development workflows, improve platform capabilities, and accelerate software delivery.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines deep platform engineering expertise with strong collaboration skills and a passion for building scalable cloud infrastructure. You should have:

  • Strong hands‑on experience managing Kubernetes environments (GKE preferred, with EKS or other managed Kubernetes platforms also considered).
  • Proven expertise with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform, with knowledge of GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD.
  • Experience managing IAM and cloud infrastructure on GCP or AWS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud‑native architecture, container orchestration, networking, and production infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Grafana, Honeycomb, Datadog, New Relic, or similar platforms.
  • Programming experience, particularly with Python, to build automation and internal platform tooling.
  • Experience participating in or leading incident response and troubleshooting complex production systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams and explain complex infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience working in startup or scale‑up environments with a proactive, adaptable, and ownership‑driven mindset.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Crossplane, GPU workloads, or machine learning infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Temporal, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Grafana Alloy, Loki, or related observability tooling.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes security, compliance initiatives, or cloud security best practices.
