Staff Cloud Engineer at BairesDev

We’re looking for a Staff Cloud Engineer with deep Java expertise and authoritative knowledge of multi-cloud platform architecture. You’ve designed and delivered distributed cloud-native services at scale across multiple cloud providers, you own the operational health of what you build, and you have the cross-team influence to define how cloud infrastructure is architected across engineering organizations. You’ll be shaping the infrastructure of a platform that powers data governance, security, and service enablement for some of the world’s largest enterprises.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and development of Java-based distributed cloud-native services across multi-cloud environments.
• Define multi-cloud architecture standards and drive technical direction across platform engineering teams.
• Own operational responsibilities including monitoring, alerting, and on-call for cloud platform services.
• Drive scalability and resilience improvements across distributed cloud infrastructure.
• Lead cross-team engineering initiatives and establish cloud-native development best practices.
• Mentor engineers and support technical growth across the cloud platform team.

What We Are Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience in IT roles.
• 7+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in cloud or distributed systems engineering.
• Expert knowledge of multi-cloud architecture design across AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Deep experience building and operating distributed cloud-native services at scale.
• Strong operational ownership background including monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
• Demonstrated cross-team technical leadership at a Staff or equivalent level.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
