Staff Civil Designer

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations on non‑routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
• Coordinate drafting activities.
• Produce complete plans from verbal or written descriptions from the responsible registered professional.
• Apply formulas, principles and practices.
• Demonstrate ability to exercise independent design decisions.
• Demonstrate moderate to high level of knowledge of assigned and related disciplines.
• Effectively use one or more discipline‑related software packages required to perform assignments.
• Successfully correspond with clients or outside personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field.
• Minimum eight years of related progress detailing and design experience.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Previous related consulting experience.
• Maintain CAD proficiency and master current CAD systems.
• Effectively use multiple application packages where necessary, including advanced level commands.
• Show understanding of advanced applications development and use.
• Field experience is desirable.
