Sr Software Developer

Job Summary: This person will perform and work with technology architects & infrastructure analysts in the planning, design, deployment and optimization of scalable platforms that support our business. This person will have a proven background of success with infrastructure planning and operations across multiple infrastructure services, such as middleware, database, computer network, storage, end‑user devices, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Performance engineering and capacity planning of computer architecture.
• Planning, design, deployment and optimization of scalable platforms.
• Collaborate with technology architects and infrastructure analysts.

Qualifications

• BS or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum several years of experience with Intel and UNIX system knowledge and storage systems knowledge.
• Expertise with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL.
• At least 4 years in performance/capacity planning for infrastructure (network, storage, Intel, UNIX, Mainframe) and middleware platforms (portals, application servers, and integration platforms).
• Proficiency in using capacity and performance analysis tools, models, and reporting infrastructure.
• Experience with storage technologies and capacity planning/optimization for this technology.
• Understanding of systems management tools including monitoring solutions (IBM Tivoli, Microsoft SCCM, BMC).
• Understanding of hybrid cloud solutions and experience integrating public cloud into traditional hosting/delivery models.
• 5+ years of experience on BMC Trusight optimization, ETL creation, data warehousing, ETL import, forecasting of infrastructure.
• 8 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of APM tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and administration of all the APM and capacity planning tools.
• Performance tuning of .NET and Java applications (11 years minimum).

Licensing, Certifications, Registrations

• ITIL Certification strongly preferred.
• TOGAF Certification preferred, Steel Center Aternity experience required.
• Administration of Dynatrace and AppDynamics performance engineering tools required.
• BMC BCO Trusight administration required.
• Extensive knowledge of VMware, vCenter, cloud, SCOM, BPA Analyzer tools (minimum 5 years experience).
