Sr Evidence and Access Strategy Manager
Primary Function of Position
Reporting to the Director of Evidence Strategy and Access, Europe, within the Medical Affairs team, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Global Access Value and Economics, Clinical Affairs, Governmental Affairs, Marketing and Finance teams to develop robust frameworks for the assessment and appraisal of endoluminal robotics‑assisted technologies.
- Define and lead the Market Access strategy in France and Benelux, including:
- Pricing and reimbursement strategy
- Health economics, value demonstration and clinical evidence generation
- Access pathway optimization
- Adapt and scale successful approaches across other European markets, demonstrating flexibility to contribute to cross‑country initiatives and business needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Market Access Strategy Leadership: Develop the market access strategy for the France‑Benelux cluster in line with the global strategy, ensuring successful evaluation by HTA agencies and acting as the key point of contact for health authorities. Shape and influence HTA outcomes through robust evidence strategies, early stakeholder engagement, and the development of budget impact models.
- Pricing & Reimbursement Excellence: Lead high‑stakes pricing negotiations with authorities (e.g., CEPS), align the value proposition with clinical evidence and pricing ambition, and provide strategic guidance on innovative funding approaches and access models.
- External Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain high‑level relationships with government authorities, payers, key opinion leaders, medical societies, patient associations and industry trade unions. Represent Intuitive in external forums and strategic discussions to support access of the Endoluminal portfolio and strengthen the company’s reputation as a trusted partner in healthcare transformation.
- Patient Access & Care Pathway Innovation: Integrate real‑world insights into market access strategies, identify barriers across hospital settings and outpatient/ambulatory care pathways, and develop patient‑centered access solutions to improve adoption and outcomes. Support continuity‑of‑care initiatives that enhance system efficiency from diagnosis to treatment.
Qualifications
- Strong adaptability and willingness to support cross‑country initiatives, enabling effective scaling of approaches across European markets.
- Field reimbursement experience in hospital settings.
- A degree in health economics, public health, life sciences, or a related field (post‑graduate qualification is a plus).
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in market access, health economics, or reimbursement, ideally in the MedTech sector (pharma backgrounds will also be considered).
- Strong understanding of the French healthcare system, HAS processes (CNEDIMTS, CEESP) and reimbursement system; experience with Belgium and the Netherlands is an advantage.
- Excellent data analysis skills, with experience in DRG coding, funding research or policy monitoring.
- Fluent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to present confidently and write clearly for professional audiences.
- Requires frequent travel (approximately 50–60%) across Europe to engage with payers, hospital stakeholders, policymakers and KOLs.
