Summary
InterDigital is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen enterprise security capabilities across infrastructure, cloud, applications, data, AI, and R&D environments. This role will support security engineering, governance, risk and compliance, identity and access management, and emerging technology protection. This role is ideal for a senior security professional who can balance hands‑on engineering with forward‑looking security strategy, helping shape scalable security practices across InterDigital’s enterprise and R&D environments. This role will report to the Sr Director, Head of Cybersecurity & Networking
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain security solutions across enterprise, cloud, AI, IAM, and hybrid environments.
- Support GRC activities, including risk assessments, control validation, policy alignment, audits, and security framework adoption.
- Partner with IT, R&D, engineering, and business teams to identify risks and recommend practical security improvements.
- Support security reviews for R&D initiatives, AI-enabled systems, applications, platforms, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to threat modeling, vulnerability management, incident response, identity governance, and access control improvements.
- Evaluate emerging threats, tools, and technologies to improve InterDigital’s security posture.
- Develop security standards, architecture patterns, documentation, and roadmap inputs.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership on security projects.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in cyber security engineering, enterprise security, cloud security, IAM, GRC, or infrastructure security.
- Expert level knowledge of AI security concepts, identity and access management, network security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience supporting research, engineering, or technology-driven environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, SOC 2, or related standards.
- Ability to communicate security risks and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to collaborate across IT, R&D, engineering, and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GSEC, GIAC, AWS/Azure Security, or similar are preferred.
