Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Engine & Nacelle Systems Integration Specialist to join our Engine and Nacelle System Functional Integration Team based in Toulouse. The role focuses on ensuring continuous airworthiness, driving product improvements, and maintaining maximum fleet availability worldwide. You will support Work Package Leaders on functional integration topics for a given fleet, with a strong focus on securing in‑service operations, resolving complex technical issues, and managing Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations or Major In‑Service Problems (MISP).
Responsibilities
- Assist Work Package Leaders on functional integration topics for a fleet.
- Secure in‑service operations, resolve complex technical issues, and manage AOG situations or MISP.
- Act as a content authority for compliance, ensuring the Engine and Nacelle functional architecture strictly aligns with all engineering and airworthiness requirements.
- Bridge the gap between systems, understanding how engine mechanisms interface with core aircraft systems such as hydraulic, fuel, bleed air, and electrical generation to find technical compromises.
- Drive cross‑functional coordination with internal partners: Chief Engineers’ Office, Flight Test Department, Customer Support, Powerplant Center of Competences, and Design Offices.
- Contribute to essential operational tasks and project management milestones to support continuous product improvement and fleet reliability.
Qualifications
- Graduate Engineer (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering technical fields, preferably within complex propulsion or powerplant environments.
- Deep technical versatility across subjects such as aerodynamics, materials, electric power, mechanics, and manufacturing.
- A “Connector” mindset with a collaborative spirit, open‑mindedness, customer focus, autonomy, and a proven ability to liaise with multiple high‑level stakeholders.
- Fluency in English at a negotiation level is mandatory; intermediate proficiency in French is a significant advantage. Global mobility and willingness to travel (~20%) are required.
