Space Systems Security Architect (F/M)

Job Overview

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Space Systems Security Architect (F/M) to join the E2E Secured System Architecture department, within the Chief Engineering organization, based in Toulouse, France . The role focuses on security engineering activities for Earth Observation, Navigation, and Telecom programmes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to embedded systems certification and/or accreditation
• Promote a security‑by‑design approach with project stakeholders
• Contribute security requirements definition
• Manage requirements traceability
• Contribute security design, in accordance with the security requirements
• Contribute to the definition of security verification and validation procedures
• Assess security products
• Prepare and participate in project reviews and workshops

Qualifications

• Educated to Master's Degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or computer science
• At least 4 years of experience in security engineering and architecture
• Familiar with Common Criteria assurance model and Airbus Security Assurance Requirements for suppliers (SAR)
• Knowledge of security products and communications protocols
• Knowledge of the different Security Concepts (Zero Trust, Secure by Default, Security in depth, DevSecOps)
• IT, network and cloud technologies competences
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Team spirit and collaborative mindset
• Autonomy and adaptability
• Advanced level in English
• Experience in space domain is a plus
