About The Role

Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Support to the Africa-EU Space Partnership Programme – AESPP Boost.” The programme aims to strengthen cooperation between Africa and the European Union in the space sector , supporting policy dialogue, institutional partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, private sector engagement and investment, while contributing to stronger and more sustainable African space ecosystems. In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Non-Key Expert – Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus to support the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation (EO) services and applications, including solutions based on Copernicus data and products , addressing key development, climate and environmental priorities in Africa.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

University degree at Master’s level in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering , or a related field. Excellent command of . Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese will be considered an asset.

Minimum General Professional Experience

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing and/or climate/environmental services.

Minimum Specific Professional Experience

At least 4 years of professional experience designing or delivering Earth Observation services and applications , preferably using Copernicus data and products , in areas such as early warning, climate, environment, agriculture, water or biodiversity. Experience with African institutions and user uptake is an asset.
