Job Description

The purpose of this role is to shape the sound of our products and brand by executing sound design projects and delivering high-quality presets, sample-based content (recording, editing, and instrument programming), and audio assets. Your mission is to ensure alignment with creative direction and technical requirements, strengthening Arturia’s sound as a key differentiating asset for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product vision into sound design plans in collaboration with Product Management and the sound design team.
  • Define preset and sample-based content needs per product (sound palette, scope, formats, technical specs).
  • Write and communicate creative + technical briefs for internal and external contributors (including recording and delivery guidelines).
  • Coordinate external contractors (preset designers, sample providers, music producers), ensuring alignment, quality, and project deadlines.
  • Ensure audio engine quality and musicality through sound design-led validation, critical listening, and qualitative feedback during R&D.
  • Design and deliver soundbanks and presets for Arturia instruments and expansions.
  • Produce sample-based content end-to-end, including vendor coordination, recording oversight, editing, SFZ programming, and final validation.
  • Review, validate, and refine delivered content to meet Arturia quality and musical standards.
  • Create audio assets for marketing and product launches (demos, showcases, web content).
  • Monitor market trends, emerging tools, and animate our user community to identify new business opportunities.
  • Present and communicate Arturia’s products and vision to customers through demos, presentations, and educational content.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of professional experience in sound design, audio content creation, music production, or a similar role in the music tech industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent, e.g. a BTS in France) in audio engineering, sound design, music production, music technology, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent professional experience and/or a portfolio may substitute for formal academic training.
  • Excellent proficiency with at least one DAW (Ableton Live / Logic Pro / Pro Tools), and knowledge of synthesis, sampling, audio editing and restoration (iZotope RX or equivalent), and music production.
  • English: proficient level of oral and written communication.
  • The position is based in Montbonnot-Saint-Martin (3830), France.
