Solutions Architect

Location: Longpont-sur-Orge, Paris, France

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week in Longpont-sur-Orge)

Contract: Freelance / Contract

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable retail and digital solutions. This role requires a strong architectural background, hands-on experience with API-driven and cloud-based environments, and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solution architectures for retail and digital platforms.
• Define scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture aligned with business objectives.
• Lead architecture discussions and provide technical guidance across multiple teams.
• Produce architecture documentation, solution briefs, and technical diagrams.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, product, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive API-first integration strategies and modern cloud architecture practices.
• Support Agile delivery while ensuring architectural governance and best practices.
• Monitor emerging retail and technology trends and recommend innovative solutions.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect in retail and digital environments.
• Strong expertise in API integration , REST APIs , microservices , ESB , and event-driven architectures .
• Experience designing cloud-based solutions, preferably on Microsoft Azure .
• Strong understanding of e-commerce and omnichannel retail architectures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear architectural documentation.
• Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management experience.

Technical Environment

• Web and mobile applications using modern frameworks
• Retail systems including POS, pricing, stock management, and supply chain
• API REST, Microservices, ESB, and Event-Driven Architecture
• Agile, SAFe, and DevOps methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating with SAP retail solutions.
• Knowledge of modern web and mobile technologies.
• Experience producing architecture schematics and technical documentation.
• Understanding of Agile, SAFe, and DevOps delivery models.
