Solution Engineer

At CastorDoc we believe that people do not need to be data experts to find, understand, and use data. We’ve developed a product that is plug-and-play, fun to use, and collaborative. It automates painful data governance tasks to create a centralized knowledge hub that empowers teams to easily discover, interpret, and leverage their organization's information assets.

Created in 2020 by four data lovers who experienced firsthand the pain of dealing with data, CastorDoc is already running in leading data teams at Freeport McMoran, Veolia, Deliveroo, RentTheRunway, ManoMano, Vestiaire Collective, and Payfit.

Our team of 40 people is made up of experts in their domains, sharing a common bold vision to impact companies through data. To support it, we raised a 23m€ Series A from Frst, Blossom, and accomplished Business Angels (founders of Dataiku, Zenly, Vestiaire Collective, etc).

We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our growing team. We seek someone with a strong problem-solving mindset and a deep understanding and empathy to grasp the needs of the customer.

You will be joining our Solutions team, which is the glue between the Product, Sales, and Tech teams, allowing you to operate at the heart of Castor.

As a Solution Engineer, you will enable our clients to make the most out of Castor:

1. Onboarding new clients: The sales team brings in amazing new clients that need to send their metadata to Castor, leveraging our product; this will be your mission.
2. Onboarding Tooling: To get more efficient month after month, you’ll have dedicated time to create and improve tooling for client onboarding.
3. Scouting new features: As part of our development, we will need to test and iterate quickly on features. You will partner with the Product team to build proofs-of-concept (POC) rapidly.

Required:

1. A problem-solving mindset: You need to be able to navigate complex problems clearly.
2. Some experience scripting: You should have some basis in one language (e.g., R, SQL, Python, JS, etc.).
3. You’re comfortable talking to clients and people who are less technical than you.
