Solution Designer – Embedded Services France

Join one of out client's (a Global giant) most strategic growth initiatives, helping bring accounting, compliance, and financial management capabilities directly into partner platforms across Europe. This is a long term B2B contact expected to last at least 12 months.

As a Solution Designer, you will combine deep accounting and regulatory expertise with solution design skills to shape how Sage's Embedded Services platform is configured for different partners and markets.

This is not a highly structured, process-driven environment. You'll operate in ambiguity, helping define the patterns, frameworks, and scalable approaches that will support expansion into new regions.

We're not looking for pure accountants or pure technical designers. We're looking for people who can translate complex regulatory requirements such as Fichier des Écritures Comptables into scalable platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Domain-Led Solution Design

Translate local accounting, tax, and compliance requirements into scalable platform configurations, including:

• Configuration templates
• Posting and accounting logic
• Reporting structures
• Compliance and audit controls
• Ensure solutions align with local statutory, regulatory, and reporting obligations.

Embedded Services Design

Design and define core financial platform components, including:

• Chart of accounts structures and mappings
• Tax rules and treatments
• Transaction lifecycle and posting logic
• Accounting workflows and controls
• Partner Onboarding & Market Enablement

Work directly with banks, fintechs, SaaS providers, and strategic partners to design onboarding solutions that balance:

• Regulatory compliance
• User simplicity
• Operational scalability

Support the successful launch of Embedded Services across new markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with:

• Product Management
• Other Solution Designers
• Sage business units, including Sage for Accountants

Act as the bridge between accounting and compliance expertise and technical implementation.

Pattern Creation & Standardisation

Help establish reusable frameworks that accelerate expansion into new markets, including:

• Configuration templates
• Design standards
• Best practices
• Repeatable implementation patterns

Market Specialist – France

Experience in the following areas would be particularly valuable:

• Mandatory e-invoicing regulations
• Structured reporting requirements
• French tax and accounting obligations for SMBs

Core Skills & Experience

• Strong background in accounting, bookkeeping, finance operations, or compliance within the SMB market
• Deep understanding of local accounting principles, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements
• Experience translating business, accounting, or regulatory requirements into system configurations or operational processes
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Technical Awareness

You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should have a good understanding of:

• APIs and integration concepts
• SaaS platforms
• Data and process flows
