About The Role

As a Maersk Solution Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of establishing the Contract Logistics capabilities in Europe. You will be a key driver for growth using your operational experience and strong analytical approach to act as the subject matter expert on designing and solutioning warehouse/cold store proposals supporting the local sales organizations to win large scale opportunities. This is a fully office‑based role, requiring on‑site presence five days per week at one of the advertised locations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design warehousing solutions including lay‑outs, resource calculations, IT requirements, operational processes and flows, costs and in accordance with HSSE requirements.
• Develop and prepare new logistics concepts and value propositions based on identified best technical and organizational solutions.
• Own the value propositions which are sold, ensuring full scoping with robust pre‑ and post‑sales engagement and commitment from commercial, solutions, pricing and operational pursuit team members.
• Engage pro‑actively in the sales process for contract logistics opportunities, acting as the subject matter expert and technical support to area sales, safeguarding operational viability of the solutions sold.
• Build market and product knowledge and share this information with all relevant stakeholders, sales and colleagues in the wider business. Act as a centre of excellence adopting and sharing best practices with the solution design community across Europe.

What You Bring

• Significant experience in International Supply Chains with a strong understanding of the value drivers of supply chain and how that can help customers deliver value to their business.
• Focused on customer needs and a data‑driven approach with the ability to analyse and translate into appropriate solutions and action plans.
• Strong WND operational background and understanding, including extensive knowledge of technologies that support warehousing processes with proven pan‑European vertical specific understanding on trade / regulatory / statutory and security compliance requirements and technological solutions.
• Numerate, financially astute and analytical with strong knowledge of Logistics processes and solution design outlines and methodologies.
• Solid technology skills that include a comprehensive understanding of WMS requirements.
• Enjoys collaboration and has a proven track record in a matrix, multi‑cultural organisation, building strong relationships and networks both locally and internationally.
• Agile and self‑starter who enjoys working in a high‑pace and versatile environment.
