Solution Architect Overview
As a Solution Architect specializing in Integrations and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), you will play a critical role in defining and governing solution architectures that facilitate seamless integration across various systems and applications. Working closely with Enterprise Architecture and Project Managers, you will ensure the successful implementation of integration solutions and robust SDLC practices throughout the projects lifecycle leveraging on the existing products in the AXA GO Products catalog and also external solutions.
Missions
- Define,develop,andmaintainintegrationpatternsthatpromotebestpracticesandstandardsforsysteminteroperability,ensuringscalabilityandreliability.
- Design and contribute to the implementation of S-SDLC pipelines that streamline the development process, enhance collaboration among teams, and ensure quality in deliverables.
- Takeownershipofthespecificationofnon-functionalrequirementsrelatedtointegrationandS-SDLC,ensuringalignmentwithbusinessgoalsandarchitecturalstandards.
- Review and approve both functional and non-functional requirement specifications to guarantee completeness and accuracy, with a specific focus on integration needs.
- Createoptimalsolutionarchitecturesthatsupportbusinessobjectivesandfacilitatetherealizationofthetargetarchitecture,emphasizingintegrationandS-SDLCbestpractices.
- Actasamentorandcoachtoprojectteams,guidingthemintheimplementationofintegrationsolutionsandS-SDLCmethodologiestoenhanceoverallprojectperformance.
- Ensuretheoverallqualityofintegrationsolutionsduringimplementationandconfigurationphases,maintaininghighstandardsthroughouttheprojectlifecycle.
In addition to crafting effective architectures, you will also be responsible for:
- Defining, documenting, and clearly communicating integration architectures and S-SDLC designs to relevant stakeholders.
- Sharing your expertise in integration solutions, technologies, and methodologies with colleagues by actively participating in communities of practice.
- Protecting the integrity and consistency of the integration architecture, ensuring proper usage by all teams involved.
- Ensuring that stakeholders and management have a clear understanding of the integration architecture and S-SDLC processes at the necessary level of detail.
- Guaranteeing that the architecture is suitable not only for operational needs but also for deployment and long-term maintenance, particularly concerning integration solutions.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the IT sector, including at least 5 years in IT solutions design for complex projects with a focus on integrations and S-SDLC.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write complex documentation and deliver persuasive presentations.
- Strong analytical skills to define and assess user requirements, advising customers on business and IT improvement opportunities related to integration and S-SDLC.
- Flexible, proactive, structured, and quality‑oriented mindset.
- Team player who effectively leverages peer knowledge to develop the best possible integration solutions.
- Proficiency in English for documentation and presentations; French language skills are a plus.
Knowledge and Experience
Specific to this Role
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a diverse range of technologies, including Cloud CSPs like AWS and Azure, specifically in the context of integrations and S‑SDLC.
- Experience working with offshore development teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Generic Architecture Skills
- Expertise in defining multi‑technology integration architectures with a strong focus on integration patterns.
- Ability to ensure architecture governance is adhered to by all stakeholders involved in integration projects.
- Comfortable with modeling with ArchiMate.
- Knowledge of integrations gateway solutions (e.g., MuleSoft) and ETL (e.g., Talend).
- Good knowledge of SOA and API paradigms (REST APIs), particularly as they relate to integration efforts.
- Reasonable knowledge of infrastructure solutions and IaC solutions.
- Exceptional architecture and solution design skills with a focus on integration methodologies and SDLC processes.
