YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to join our team at Edenred.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who is ready to step into architecture while remaining actively involved in code and implementation.

Your initial mission will focus on Authentication and OpenID Connect, supporting application migrations and defining authentication strategies for our API platforms.

Future responsibilities will expand to different topics like:

• integration projects involving technologies such as Kafka and orchestrators.

Basically, the goal is to build a strong team capable of enriching the group solutions catalog and delivering value to all Business units and Strategic platforms. A solution is not only a technical choice: it comes with guidelines, expertise, target operating model, and support.

Ideally, you’re familiar with the Java ecosystem to mitigate the prominence of .Net at headquarters.

First and non-exhaustive key responsibilities:

Actively participate in code reviews and propose technical improvements, particularly in authentication and security mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID Connect).

Lead and support the migration of applications to new authentication flows and platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Define and document API platform authentication strategies, collaborating closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure alignment with business and security requirements.

Go beyond security topics, with integration solutions and architecture blueprints, mainly around message brokers and orchestration platforms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, security, operations) to ensure seamless integration and effective delivery of solutions. Stay up-to-date on best practices in authentication, API security, and integration, and promote their adoption within the group.

YOUR PROFILE

To be successful in this role, you should:

Possess a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related area, or equivalent work experience — an advanced degree is preferred.

Have 4+ years of experience in software product solution architecture and software development roles.

Being hands-on is a key accelerator, and ideally, your development skills are in the Java ecosystem. Why? Because headquarters is mainly .Net-oriented, and it’s part of the group strategy to mitigate this by bringing Java skills, required by some important Business units.

Demonstrated experience or strong interest in authentication protocols (OpenID Connect, OAuth2, SAML) and secure session management.

The most important skill for this role is being a fast learner — don’t worry if you don’t know everything upfront; what matters most is your curiosity and willingness to dive deep, quickly mastering new technologies and concepts as needed.

Knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging technologies.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to bridge technical and business needs.

Not necessarily an expert but motivated to grow in architecture and take increasing responsibility.

Languages required: Fluent English. Other languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese are a plus.
