We are currently seeking a Solution Architect for Project Management Systems, reporting directly to the Enterprise Architect Director to join our Digital for Operational Excellence team based in Nanterre, Paris, France.

About the Role

Overview

The Project Management Systems Solution Architect provides dedicated digital support for the Project Cost Control, Planning and Project Management functions within T.EN, ensuring alignment between enterprise architecture principles, business architecture and product delivery. This role acts as a bridge between business needs and digital platforms, defining the solution’s architecture and driving coherence, innovation, and operational efficiency within the product’s lifecycle.

This role involves participating in the product’s framing and design phases, supporting the execution phase, and delivering documentation throughout the entire product lifecycle, including product architecture reference documents, architecture reviews, and actions to reduce T.EN technical debt.

Key Responsibilities

Business and Technology Alignment

• Engage with product teams to understand business requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment between business goals and digital architecture principles.
• Translate business needs into a solution design that fits within TEN's enterprise architecture framework (Business Architecture).
• Engage business teams in the Business Architecture processes.
• Act as a consultant to guide business transformation initiatives and ensure architecture decisions enable business agility and innovation.
• Participate in Make or Buy decisions when required.
• Assist business in identifying information dependencies when defining Product Business Architecture, especially with other domains.
• Describe product business capabilities and services using Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Participate in application rationalization for the domain in which the architect is working.
• Create and maintain product’s conceptual data model aligned with the Enterprise Data Model.
• Maintain the product’s system dependency list.
• Ensure consistency between the Enterprise Data Catalog and functional requirements.
• Ensure data continuity of products delivered within the context of the DAP Program.

Solution Architecture Design and Delivery

• Define and maintain the current and future state solution architecture of the assigned product.
• Design product’s solution architecture with approved technical standards.
• Use solution building blocks and standards technical designs to accelerate solution definitions.
• Work closely with data architecture teams to define data exchange patterns fitting business requirements and follow data sharing protocols.
• Support agile delivery by guiding development teams in implementing scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions.
• Ensure technical architecture aligns with solution architecture.
• Ensure product description in the CMDB.
• Ensure traceability of application’s business or solution changes.
• Foster collaboration between business, developers, data teams, and platform teams to maintain delivery flow.

Solution Architect Standards Activities

• Coordinate with solution architects working on the same domain.
• Report and forecast activities and manage workload.
• Communicate with platform teams to follow upcoming services.
• Participate in the solution architecture community.
• Initiate peer forums to share architecture guidance.
• Use the tooling provided to Solution Architects.
• Ensure application performance by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks across domain applications.
• Propose refactoring scenarios for obsolete applications.
• Avoid data duplication and costly data storage.
• Ensure all applications in the portfolio are up to date with the latest cyber security requirements.

Innovation

• Engage with platform leaders to propose new technologies when the existing portfolio is limited.
• Assist product owners on proof‑of‑value or prototypes when requested.
• Propose new technologies based on delivered value.
• Promote AI when it makes sense.
• Identify and mitigate common architecture decision‑making pitfalls that undermine time to market and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience, with 2+ years in architecture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong functional knowledge of project controls, cost management, planning, and project management processes, data lifecycle, and applications.
• Ability to maintain a mid‑term / long‑term mindset while keeping pragmatism.
• Experience in enterprise business process management.
• Architecture certification (TOGAF is a plus).
• Proven experience in business service, building block, and solution design.
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in architecture.
• Knowledge of emerging data and AI technologies and a passion for staying up‑to‑date with the latest developments.
• Good facilitation skills and capacity to coordinate diverse stakeholders across business and digital functions.
• Understanding of backlog management, user story refinement, and value‑driven delivery.
• Experience collaborating with product owners to drive product increments aligned with architecture standards.
