Solution Architect (Pre-Sales phase)
This role supports the sales cycle by translating client requirements into solution designs across our Smart Biometrics portfolio. Our portfolio includes SaaS offers as well as on‑prem biometric terminals, with different components to assemble properly respecting interoperability and functionalities. The candidate will contribute to high‑level architecture design, build proposals and potentially hands‑on demonstrations to prove value to customers, in close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams.

Purpose

The candidate will contribute to high‑level architecture design, build proposals and potentially hands‑on demonstrations to prove value to customers, in close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams.
Technical Solution Design
- Acts as Solution Architect during the pre‑sales phase, translating customer business challenges into technical designs using our portfolio.
- Ensures proposed solutions align with industry standards
- Collaborates with Product Management to align customer technical requirements with the roadmap.
Costing & Pricing Support
- Contributes to the costing and pricing approach for solutions, from SaaS to on‑prem models.
- Supports Sales in building price structures aligned with customer value, contractual constraints, and internal margin targets.
- Co‑ordinates inputs from Product and Delivery to ensure pricing reflects scope, integration complexity, and support/SLA levels.
Bid Management & Technical Response
- Writes and co‑ordinates the technical sections of responses to solicitations (RFP, RFI, RFQ).
- Structures offers, manages bid timelines, ensures compliance with solicitation requirements, and consolidates contributions.
- Works in autonomy to document architecture diagrams, data flow charts, and security compliance statements.
- Contributes to bid sizing by providing technical assumptions and delivery inputs for SaaS consumption and professional services.
Customer Engagement & Evangelism
- Pitches and promotes the portfolio to C‑level executives (CIO/CTO) and technical stakeholders.
- Acts as the main contact point for technical topics during the pre‑sales phase.
Hands‑on Demonstration & Prototyping
- Execute live demos : using our available portfolio of demos, make live demonstrations to customers.
- Builds and configures live demos: adapt demos for more convincing presentations to customers
The candidate will operate globally or regionally depending on assignment, supporting sales teams across multiple verticals.
Profile description
Competencies
- Technical Expertise: Basic understanding of SaaS architecture, APIs, and Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
- Domain Knowledge: Basic knowledge of biometrics principles, identity documents, digital identity, access control.
- Solution Selling: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Writing capabilities: Ability to write technical proposals for customers respecting constraints from RFPs.
- Teamwork: Comfortable operating in a collaborative deal team (Sales, Product, Delivery, Tender Desk) and driving topics to closure with appropriate guidance.
- Communication: Fluent in English (Written and Spoken), French is a plus.
Education or equivalent work experience
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Pre‑Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or technical consulting.
