Solution Architect –Operations

Your scope will cover more specifically business domains related to operations: Supply Chain and Manufacturing & Production. The Solution Architect oversees solution architecture definition, securing alignment with global frameworks at Pernod Ricard and consistency of models across the technical landscape. The role involves guaranteeing that overall development efforts are integrated appropriately, from testing to effective roll‑out.

Responsibilities

• Define target solution architecture and contribute to solution design, development, and rollout.
• Understand business objectives, technical requirements, and constraints.
• Develop comprehensive solution designs that leverage existing technologies and align with industry best practices.
• Define solution conceptual and detailed architecture, securing alignment with global architecture standards, building and maintaining associated models and documentation.
• Assess evolving product roadmap impacts on solution architecture and continuously optimize target vision.
• Define guidelines for engineering/development and integration/deployment teams working on the solution, in relation with tech/data architects, and provide support as needed.
• Contribute to the evaluation/selection process for application packages, where relevant.
• Engage in change management and continuous improvement initiatives: contribute to transversal initiatives to secure continuous improvement of architecture practices at Pernod Ricard.
• Champion global architecture vision within product squads, for your scope.
• Continuously develop your own skills on solution architecture topics.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure that architectural standards and best practices are followed.
• Design and document solution architectures, including system components, interfaces, data flows, and integration points.
• Ensure that architectures are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks; make recommendations for technology adoption based on industry trends, client requirements, and project goals.
• Identify potential risks and issues related to solution architecture; develop mitigation strategies to address risks and ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10–12 years of proven experience as a Solution Architect, ideally within Manufacturing, Operations, or Production environments.
• Strong background in enterprise-level software development methodologies, frameworks, and technologies.
• Proven experience designing and delivering complex technology solutions in large-scale business environments.
• Good understanding of Operations, Production, and Manufacturing business processes.
• Solid knowledge of ERP systems and their role in supporting operational business functions.
• Understanding of OT systems and their integration with enterprise landscapes.
• Experience with solution design across multisite and multi-instance environments.
• Familiarity with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks, design patterns, and integration technologies.
• Understanding of data management principles and their role in enterprise solutions.
• Experience with cloud-native development and serverless computing is an advantage.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to work across business and technology teams in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with ITSM processes and agile ways of working is a plus.
• Experience in consumer goods, FMCG, or similarly complex global organizations is a plus.
