Responsibilities
- Act as the primary authority and trusted advisor on AI architecture
- Define and embed the reference architecture, governance, and standards for AI
- Drive a mindset shift towards AI‑first product and architecture thinking
- Drive adoption of best practices and reusable AI patterns across product teams
- Facilitate key architecture decisions, trade‑offs, and prioritisation at the enterprise level
- Lead definition and evolution of agent‑based architectures, LLM orchestration patterns, RAG and knowledge‑driven systems
- Drive reuse of components, accelerators, and frameworks
- Define and maintain the Agentic AI reference architecture covering LLM‑based systems, autonomous agents, orchestration layers, data pipelines, knowledge retrieval (RAG), model integration, security, governance, and responsible AI principles
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture frameworks and standards
- Provide reusable patterns, design principles, and guardrails for AI solutions
- Support product teams in designing end‑to‑end AI‑enabled solutions
- Translate business use cases into scalable and secure AI architectures
- Guide teams on model selection and integration (LLMs, APIs, platforms), prompt orchestration, agent workflows, and reasoning patterns
- Integrate with enterprise systems and data platforms
- Ensure solutions are production‑ready, scalable, and maintainable
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks
- Drive strategic recommendations for AI platforms and capabilities
- Contribute to PoCs, pilots, and innovation initiatives
- Act as the primary AI architecture authority in ARB / GD2A / ADR processes
- Ensure consistency of AI‑related decisions across domains
- Partner with Cyber and Data Privacy to enforce responsible AI standards
- Provide clear guidance on risks, trade‑offs, and architectural choices
- Serve as the go‑to expert and trusted advisor for AI architecture topics
- Mentor Solution Architects and engineering teams on AI best practices
- Contribute to architecture playbooks, guidelines, and knowledge sharing
- Drive adoption of AI architecture standards across the organization
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, data architecture, or a closely related technical discipline
- Proven track record in designing and delivering enterprise‑scale technology solutions
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure
- Deep understanding of enterprise software development methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
- Hands‑on experience with data platforms, data pipelines, and integration architecture
- Strong knowledge of API design, system integration, and modern application architecture
- Experience with AI/ML solutions, including GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI concepts
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions
- Good understanding of security, privacy, and responsible AI principles
- Familiarity with cloud‑native development and serverless computing
- Experience working with enterprise stakeholders and influencing architecture decisions across teams
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic, delivery‑oriented mindset
- Ability to balance innovation, governance, scalability, and total cost of ownership
- Experience in consumer goods, FMCG, or similarly complex global organisations is a plus
