Solution Architect
Solution Architect, Defence Services
Command‑and‑control software sits at the heart of how modern defence forces operate. As the first Solution Architect in France, you will apply your understanding of French military structures and systems to ensure Systematic delivers effective software solutions that provide operational value.
Systematic is a Danish software company with over 1100 employees across Europe and beyond, building mission‑critical IT solutions for defence, healthcare and public safety. Our defence products are trusted by militaries across NATO – helping armed forces share information, coordinate operations and make faster, better decisions in the field.
We are now growing our presence in France, and this role is central to that ambition.
Role
As the Solution Architect for Systematic France, you will be the primary technical link between Systematic and our French military customers. You will build trusted relationships with military customers, shape solution designs around operational needs and provide hands‑on direction to engineers across a range of projects. You will also play an active role in growing Systematic’s business in France.
- Work directly with French military customers and stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate these into effective technical solutions
- Use your understanding of command structures, processes and defence systems to help shape solutions that fit the customer’s environment
- Provide technical leadership and direction to engineers across multiple concurrent projects, with a focus on delivering measurable customer value
- Support business development by combining defence insight with technical credibility to identify and help secure new opportunities
- Contribute to the establishment of Systematic’s new French location as a founding team member
Occasional domestic travel to customer sites (approx. once per month) and international travel for internal activities (approx. twice per year) is expected.
What You Bring
Strong candidates will be former military staff officers or defence professionals who have developed a strong understanding of C4I systems and want to work at the point where operations and software interact. What matters most is that you can understand complex operational requirements, engage credibly with military stakeholders and help shape practical technical solutions that work in the real world.
- A university degree in a relevant subject (Bachelor’s level or higher)
- A strong understanding of French military systems, stakeholders, planning processes or command environments
- Technical curiosity and confidence working on software, system design or IT‑based problem solving
- Real‑world experience or knowledge of military C2 systems, networks, communications or digital transformation in defence
- Fluency in both English and French is essential
You must have the right to reside and work in France indefinitely, and you must hold, or be eligible to hold, French and NATO security clearances.
