Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise software as an analyst, product owner, or functional consultant
  • Demonstrated capability to understand business strategies and application objectives, and translate those requirements into effective process designs
  • Excellent design skills, including the ability to critique visual elements and optimize user flows
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills, with the ability to clearly document requirements and process assets using text, diagrams, and videos
  • Self-directed, with the ability to break down complex processes, assign actions, and manage progress toward deadlines
  • Expertise in process modeling tools and best practices
  • Industry domain expertise is highly appreciated (Lifesciences, Telco or Insurance)
  • Proficient in both English and French (written and spoken)
  • Salesforce certifications

What the job involves

  • The Functional Architect leads consultative engagements with complex enterprise customers, partnering with key stakeholders to create compelling visions while advising and executing on AI-enhanced strategies
  • They serve as hands‑on advisors, leveraging strong interpersonal skills, functional and/or technical knowledge, Salesforce product knowledge (including AI capabilities), industry experience, consulting experience, and deep understanding of their client's business to deliver measurable customer ROI
  • Functional Architects are strong presenters and facilitators who obtain customer acceptance by understanding and delivering the right strategic vision while driving the difficult conversations necessary to execute business strategies
  • They are proficient at analyzing issues and obstacles to determine root cause(s), weighing options, choosing appropriate courses of action, and measuring and revising strategy based on results
  • In today's AI‑first landscape, Functional Architects must demonstrate proficiency with modern AI development tools, understand Salesforce's AI ecosystem, and leverage these technologies to accelerate delivery and enhance solution quality
  • Participating in business process redesign with an AI‑first mindset, identifying opportunities for intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and agentic workflows
  • Designing Agentforce implementations to automate customer service, sales processes, and business workflows
  • Working closely with customers to understand current business processes and identify AI augmentation opportunities
  • Facilitating discussions with various levels of customer's IT and business stakeholders on AI adoption strategies and change management
  • Developing strong client relationships by building trust, rapport, and positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Articulating the business value of AI/ML capabilities in Salesforce solutions to executive audiences
  • Leveraging AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate configuration, code generation, and documentation
  • Leading project's functional workstream from scoping to rollout with emphasis on rapid prototyping using AI tools
  • Speed is paramount – utilizing AI coding assistants to reduce time‑to‑value and increase iteration velocity
  • Preparing and facilitating workshops (in‑person and virtual)
  • Designing business processes that incorporate Agentforce agents, Einstein predictions, and intelligent workflows
  • Designing solutions with technical architects, evaluating when to leverage AI capabilities vs. traditional automation
  • Choosing the functionalities to be activated to properly answer customer requirements, including AI features like Prompt Builder, Einstein Copilot, and Agentforce
  • Writing functional specifications and user stories for both standard and AI‑enhanced features
  • Managing the product backlog with clear prioritization
  • Designing solutions according to Salesforce best practices, maximizing point‑and‑click configuration and AI‑native features
  • Configuring Agentforce agents, Einstein features, and AI‑driven automation alongside standard platform capabilities
  • Participating in UAT and Go‑Live process, including test planning, development of test scripts, testing logistics, test execution, and status reporting
  • Designing AI model evaluation and monitoring strategies to ensure solution quality
