Software Test Bench Engineer / Pessac

Overview

FineHeart S.A. is an innovative start-up in the cardiac field, located in Pessac, in the Bordeaux metropolis. It mainly develops the ICOMS (Intra Cardiac Output Management System), an innovative intracardiac pump, allowing patients suffering from severe heart failure to gain life expectancy and to regain comfort.

Founded by doctors and engineers, it is a technology combining mechanics, electronics and computer science at the service of the clinic in order to offer a completely new alternative to classic cardiac assistance by a more physiological approach and therefore more adapted to the patient.

Role

In the framework of a permanent contract, we are looking for a: Software Test Bench Engineer (M/F).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute verification tests of FineHeart products software and equipment used to test and manufacture these products.
• Under the responsibility of the software lead, and within the software team of 6-8 people, specialized in the development of embedded software for the medical field.
• Review of the application and functional requirements of the software. Responsible for the test strategy for the design verification of the software, from a functional, security and usability point of view, participation in some functional tests at system level.
• Write test plans for the application and functional requirements of the software.
• Participate in the definition and verification of hardware and tooling for test execution, including automation proposals and test execution where appropriate.
• Plan and execute software tests, including preliminary integration tests, in interaction with the software, integration and V&V teams.
• Document test reports and participate in establishing application and functional requirements coverage through design verification, with full traceability of software requirements coverage as far as possible through testing.
• Accomplish all of the above in compliance with the quality system and appropriate regulations.

Skills and profiles

• 5 years of higher education (engineer or master)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing and/or system design in a constrained environment, ideally in the medical device industry

Job details

• Type of job: Full time, permanent contract.
• Salary: 35,000 to 45,000 EUR per year.
