Job Description

Today we’re looking for a Python developer to join our Payments team in VeepeeTech. At Veepee, our Payments team ensures the secure and efficient processing of millions of transactions, while maintaining PCI DSS compliance and adapting to new regulations like WERO. We seek an expert with experience in Python backend development and, if possible, in financial systems. You will help key projects such as merging business order pipelines, but also optimize performance, ensure security, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Tasks

• Develop new and redesign existing features of our products
• Suggest improvements for interfaces and other possible enhancements
• Write technical documentation
• Keep the code clean and review team members’ designs when needed
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of developed applications
• Respect production deadlines
• Review legacy code to avoid production bugs

Must Have Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software development
• Hands‑on experience with Python
• Proficiency with SQL databases
• Familiarity with VMware and Debian operating systems
• Experience in building APIs or other web services
• Quality‑code oriented with unit and integration tests
• Experience in an agile working environment with open‑source technologies
• Autonomous and open‑minded
• Professional English level

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience in PCI DSS environment or payment/banking system
• Experience in high‑demanding platform, resiliency and production availability
• Experience with RabbitMQ, HAProxy and PostgreSQL
• Experience with metrics over Prometheus
