Software Engineer Intern

What you’ll do

As an Intern Software Engineer, you will work closely with the engineering team in France at Issy‑Les‑Moulineaux. You will assist in research, development, testing, and documentation related to implementing AI‑driven improvements to our tooling. This internship offers hands‑on experience with cutting‑edge AI applications in software engineering and involves contributing to a real‑world project with significant impact. The role is an individual contributor and reports to the Manager of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist in researching AI techniques and their application to software development tooling
• Support the development and testing of AI‑powered features for existing tools
• Contribute to the creation of datasets and evaluation metrics for AI models
• Participate in team meetings and code reviews
• Learn and apply best practices for software development and AI implementation
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, UX Research, and other developers to understand and convert requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for development
• Stay updated with the latest AI development trends and share findings with the team

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employees divide their time between in‑office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. Minimum 2 days per week in office, with flexible weekly expectations.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
• Experience in AI and its applications in software engineering
• Fluency in English
• Experience with software development concepts
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, .NET/C#, JavaScript)

• Strong organizational, problem‑solving skills, and a can‑do attitude
• Excellent oral / written communication skills
• Interest in learning about cloud services and distributed systems
• Passion for learning new software technologies and AI techniques and for sharing knowledge
