Position Summary

The Test Solutions Center (TSC) provides advanced test solutions to support production lines for the entire missile portfolio. The Software Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and maintaining software that supports on‑site factory operations for weapon system product development.

What You Will Do

  • Prioritize and handle several engineering tasks concurrently.
  • Interact with Engineering, Operations PTEs, and program personnel to support factory readiness and robustness.
  • Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
  • Work in a multidiscipline engineering team environment.
  • Design, develop, and integrate object‑oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows.
  • Support the development and derivation of requirements for software products.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced STEM degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience developing and debugging object‑oriented software, or an advanced STEM degree that included software projects.
  • Experience using Visual Studio as a development environment and troubleshooting tool.
  • Experience deploying executable objects to a Windows OS.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience developing production test equipment in an automation environment.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of software drivers for hardware interfaces.
  • Experience with common computer hardware interfaces and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS‑422.
  • Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation and electronics (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters).
  • Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) for software architecture.
  • Experience with software development lifecycles, such as Waterfall and Agile.
  • Experience with software configuration management principles.
  • Working understanding of the TEE One Page Process.
  • Self‑starter and ability to manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Server or GitHub.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation

Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD. Eligible for annual short‑term and long‑term incentive compensation programs, depending on position level and collective‑bargaining agreements.
