Engineering Challenges
- Build efficient and easy‑to‑use web products used by thousands of users in the world’s most premium publishers, advertisers, and agencies.
- Maintain a rich and diverse tech stack and system architecture to optimize performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. Mainly using Scala and TypeScript.
- Operate in a high‑traffic environment (2.2 billion users per month, 100 billion events per day) with low latency and high availability constraints (2 million requests per second, responses < 150 ms).
- Manage large datasets with millisecond access times to compute a near real‑time complex auction resolution algorithm (18 million predictions per second).
- Adapt continuously with Product teams and evolve Cloud infrastructure for new features.
- Include a wide diversity of profiles at the same level of quality and knowledge.
- Work in an international environment with offices in Israel, Slovenia and France.
Demand Enablers Pod
- Drive Revenue Enablement: Provide Sales, Account Management, and AdOps teams with scalable tools and insights to maximize commercial impact and market performance.
- Accelerate Product Delivery: Build reliable, developer‑friendly platforms and shared services that reduce time‑to‑market and foster consistent product quality across teams.
Core Branding Team
In this role, you’ll be essential in shaping the future of our core branding products. You’ll help us build new, innovative campaign types that merge Teads and Outbrain technologies, while maintaining and modernizing high‑value systems that drive significant company revenue.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features across our sophisticated backend systems, primarily written in Scala.
- Collaborate with a diverse, international team split between France and Israel to solve complex problems in the AdTech space.
- Champion software quality through robust testing, clean architecture, and best practices, elevating our codebase and mentoring junior engineers.
- Contribute to full‑stack needs with Node.js and React applications.
- Work in an Agile environment that values sustainable processes, open communication, and regular virtual socials to keep our distributed team connected.
Qualifications
- Experienced backend engineer, proficient in JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala). Training provided for candidates new to Scala.
- Proven track record of designing, shipping, and maintaining features in complex, production environments.
- Commitment to writing high‑quality, well‑tested code and passion for continuous improvement.
- Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Growth mindset: eagerness to learn new technologies and share knowledge with the team.
Bonus Points
- Experience in the AdTech industry.
- Frontend experience, especially with React.
