What you'll do

• Architect and optimize the artificial intelligence engines that interpret member biology, continuous wearable streams, and contextual lifestyle factors to produce individualized health interventions.
• Construct and maintain resilient data ingestion pipelines and integration layers capable of normalizing heterogeneous health information from clinical, device, and user-reported sources.
• Deliver polished, mobile-first interfaces using React Native that drive daily adherence to personalized prevention plans and foster long-term behavioral change.
• Engineer deep interoperability between the Precision module and the wider Alan ecosystem, connecting AI-driven companions, engagement mechanics, and telehealth workflows.
• Design scalable backend systems and feature flags that facilitate rapid localization and regulatory compliance for expansion into new European markets.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to translate complex medical protocols into intuitive user journeys.
• Implement comprehensive observability, automated testing, and CI/CD practices to ensure reliability and safety in a regulated health environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to guarantee high availability for time-sensitive health features.
• Mentor peers on best practices for AI/ML model deployment, mobile performance optimization, and full-stack architecture.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and contribute to internal technical standards documentation.
• Explore and prototype novel applications of large language models and agentic workflows to enhance the personalization engine.

Requirements

• At least three years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping user-facing products in iterative cycles.
• Demonstrated proficiency as a full-stack generalist, capable of navigating mobile development (React Native), backend services (Python/Flask), and web frontend technologies (TypeScript/React) with equal competence.
• Hands-on experience deploying generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or autonomous agent systems into live production environments.
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end, from vague problem discovery and technical design through launch, measurement, and subsequent refinement based on real-world usage data.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal, for daily collaboration within an international team.
• Legal authorization to work in France, Belgium, or Spain without requiring visa sponsorship from the company.
• Comfort working within a monorepo structure utilizing trunk-based development and daily deployment cadences.
• Strong grasp of cloud-native infrastructure concepts, including container orchestration (Kubernetes), managed services (AWS/GCP), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Terramate).
