Jumpseller is a SaaS solution for small businesses to manage their online business. We focus on making e‑commerce easier for everyone, so merchants can focus on building and selling their products. The platform handles everything from products and orders to customers, sales on mobile, social networks and other e‑commerce channels.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Engineer (Full‑Stack Developer) to join our growing team. The role is open to remote work, with candidates located in Porto, Portugal, or elsewhere worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Work in an informal environment, for a global market.
- Write clean, modular, scalable code that can handle millions of records.
- Design and build new features from specification.
- Build automated tests and help maintain the current test suite.
- Collaborate with the Customer Support Team to resolve technical issues and improve service.
- Take responsibility, autonomy and ownership over deliverables.
Day to Day Tasks
- Collaborate with developers, designers and product owners to build a multi‑location inventory system.
- Assist with recurrent Meta Security Assessments.
- Create an import/export tool in CSV for stock management.
- Implement barcode scanning in React Native for the mobile app.
- Work with the Design Team to set up infrastructure for the UI Design System.
- Spend time with the Client and Support Teams to triage and fix production issues.
- Model a new database structure for the upcoming Gift Cards feature using UML.
Recruitment Process
- Review of CVs and Cover Letters.
- First interview (30 minutes) with People Department to introduce Jumpseller.
- Case Study (self‑paced, max 4 hours). Up to 6 invitations may be sent.
- Final interview (45–60 minutes) to review the case study and discuss professional achievements.
- Offer expected by July.
- All candidates will be notified upon completion of the process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Informatics or related field.
- Proven experience in object‑oriented programming and web development.
- Attention to detail, delivering maintainable, efficient, reliable code.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with version control and automated testing tools.
- Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV formats and comfortable with HTML/CSS.
- Prior experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails is a plus, but not required.
- Good English communication and teamwork skills.
