We are also growing our offering to clients focused on the energy transition, providing tradeable insights on long‑term trends. We have also recently acquired Kayrros (2026) headquartered in Paris, France.
Kayrros is a leading geospatial intelligence company that uses AI, satellite imaging, geolocation data and other sources of information to evaluate global energy systems, identify climate risks, and help global customers improve their operations.
We are currently recruiting for our Paris office,
a Software Engineer
The Team
The Geospatial Engineering Team oversees developing Kayrros’ key software components for remote sensing data processing as well as elaborating and running the pipelines that power Kayrros products. The team has a specific focus on Earth observation data (optical, sar, lidar) and geolocation data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop processing pipelines, from design to deployment and maintenance
- Apply best practices regarding testing, version control, CI/CD, operations, observability, etc.
- Collaborate with remote sensing researchers, geospatial and machine learning engineers and product stakeholders.
In particular:
- Implement and operate large‑scale imagery and data pipeline on Kubernetes
- Contribute to internal shared libraries to ease the creation and maintenance of data pipelines,
- Contribute to architecture trade‑off with respect to maintenance, cost, scalability and robustness.
You will have a transverse role in the development of EA/Kayrros technologies, from domain specific algorithm design to production deployment and operations.
You will work with the full range of data sources used at EA/Kayrros (optical, SAR, hyper‑spectral).
As an example, the Team has already developed pipelines regarding wildfire monitoring, shale gas wells, methane plume detection, and many others!

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in Software Engineering
- Knowledge of python 3.
- Basics of software architecture.
- Familiar with AI‑driven development tools.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker and at least one public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and its managed services (S3, SQS, Lambdas, etc.).
- Knowledge in RDBMS (PostgreSAL, MySQL, etc.) and schema design
- Knowledge of one popular workflow scheduler and/or orchestrator (Argo, Airflow, Keda, etc.).
- Rigor, autonomy and proactivity.
- Good project management and organizational skills.
- Speak and write fluent English
Appreciated skills
- Familiar with the geospatial open source ecosystem (GDAL, rasterio, proj, etc.)
- Familiar with new data formats (geoparquet, cloud optmized geotiff, etc.)
- Familiar with cloud architecture (resilience, error management, etc.)
