Software Engineer

Hybrid or remote. Offices in London, Paris, and Montpellier.

Woosmap builds enterprise‑scale location APIs and SDKs powering geocoding, routing, store locators, and address autocomplete used in high‑volume production environments. Reliability and low latency are core to the product.

Current stack

Python is the main backend language, but the engineering culture is strongly focused on using the right tool for the problem. Parts of the platform run in Go and Rust where performance matters most.

You’ll work on

• Backend services for authentication, rate limiting, metrics, and deployment systems
• Geocoding, routing, and store locator APIs
• High‑performance infrastructure using Redis/Valkey and Postgres
• Production systems end‑to‑end, from implementation to monitoring and iteration
• Cross‑language engineering where it provides real value

We’re looking for engineers who

• Have experience building and operating production systems
• Care about performance, reliability, and clean architecture
• Think critically about tooling and engineering tradeoffs
• Value detailed code reviews and high standards
• Are curious, pragmatic, and technically strong

Open to both

• Senior Backend Engineers (~3+ years)
• Junior Engineers (~1–3 years) with strong projects and solid fundamentals
