Software Development Engineer - Full Stack

Responsibilities

You will be a member of a development team as a Software Development Engineer, developing subsystem components that comprise our vehicle software delivery platforms . You will learn from and collaborate with some of the most accomplished individuals in the automotive and software industries. You will utilize the most recent software development tools and methodologies to design and code valuable software products or resolve complex issues.

• Develop high-quality, production-ready software components.
• Apply DevOps best practices under the "You Build It, You Run It" model.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Drive innovation by leveraging new technologies, including AI-powered solutions.
• Ensure software is reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
• Solve technical problems using simplification as the main strategy to scale our systems.
• Write code that exemplifies high-quality, robustness, and maintainability.
• Partner with other development teams in joint projects and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify new standards, technologies, AI-based insights to ensure up-to-date practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience developing and operating cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices, event‑driven architectures, and scalable distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of modern software engineering principles, including clean code practices (DRY, KISS, YAGNI), automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; exposure to Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs, ideally with a contract‑first approach.
• Familiarity with technologies such as AWS, Kafka, MongoDB, Redis, OAuth2, and monitoring tools.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across global and cross‑functional teams.
• Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and leveraging emerging technologies, including AI-powered solutions.
