Software Developer Intern (Java) – IT SharedApps
About the Role
As part of its ongoing digital transformation, LCH SA is seeking a motivated and curious Java Developer Intern to join its IT Shared Applications (SharedApps) department. This team plays a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing internal applications that are critical to the company’s operations. You will join an Agile Feature Team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise software solutions used across the organization. This internship offers hands‑on exposure to real‑world systems in a professional, international, and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess the impact of proposed code changes on existing systems.
- Develop new features and fix defects in line with business priorities and technical standards.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, refactoring, and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of applications and development processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.

What We’re Looking For
Profile
- Student currently enrolled in a computer science, software engineering, or related degree.
- Strong interest in software development and enterprise IT environments.
- Motivation to learn, contribute, and grow within a professional Agile team.
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of Java programming.
- Basic to good knowledge of SQL / PL‑SQL (Oracle).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (ideally KSH).
- Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
- Awareness of software engineering principles such as unit testing, clean code, and refactoring.
Soft Skills
- Good level of English, written and spoken, in an international context.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand and synthesize complex information.
- Proactive, team‑oriented, and comfortable working in a multicultural and distributed environment.
