Software Delivery & Operations Architect
Integrated Power Modelling (IPM), part of the OneTech Technical Line Power, supports the company’s technological ambition to digitalize the entire renewable energies value chain. It brings together multidisciplinary expertise (scientific and digital) to deliver digital solutions aimed at maximizing both the performance and value of renewable assets (solar, wind, energy storage).
It is built around four platforms, each oriented towards internal business clients (GRP, REN, FPI, Trading, etc.): Origination & Design, Grid Integration, Operations Performance & Optimization, and Forecasting. Each platform is structured into three teams: Product Solutions (PS), Research & Capability Development (RCD) and Software Delivery & Operations (SDO).
The Grid Integration platform products focus on numerical tools aiming at optimizing the connection of our renewable assets to the electrical grid. We tackle real-world challenges from network constraints, curtailment risks to electrical standards and regulatory compliance. It incorporates physics‑based models connected to various data streams (weather forecasts, power demand, and more) with strong data/cloud integration.
As Software/Platform Architect, you will operate in the SDO team, and interact with close collaboration with Technical Leads (in SDO), Product Owners (in SDO) and RCD teams, as well as with out-of-IPM entities (e.g. Digital Line, IT Department, Innovation Accelerator, TTE On…)
Interested on taking on new challenges in the exciting world of electricity?
Join the “Grid Integration” platform, within the newly established strategic program IPM (Integrated Power Modeling), as a Software Delivery & Operations Architect and take part in innovative projects at the heart of the energy transition. Within an organization undergoing digital transformation, the Software/Platform Architect leads the design and evolution of software architectures in collaboration with Tech Leads, developers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, cybersecurity teams, and cloud teams (AWS/Azure).
He/she contributes to the technology strategy, governance, and product quality. More precisely he/she will:
- Define, design, and evolve software architectures at platform level, primarily following modern service‑oriented approaches.
- Retrieve, analyze, modernize, and enhance proofs of concept and/or legacy code.
- Ensure consistency, performance, robustness, and compliance with cybersecurity, IT Foundations, and cloud rules (TGITS, SecOps…).
- Make pragmatic trade‑offs according to business value, technical constraints…
- Participate in quality assurance (architecture reviews, software quality, performance, resilience).
- Support technical teams through best practices, design reviews, code reviews, and optimization.
Required Technical Skills
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/…): managed services, cloud patterns, security‑by‑design, performance, high availability.
- DevSecOps / SRE: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), containers (Docker), ELK, Grafana…
- Data: SQL/NoSQL, data modeling, data flows.
- Versatility across programming paradigms (functional, declarative, imperative, object‑oriented).
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Java, C/C++, Node.js, LISP,…).
- Appropriate use of design patterns (structural, behavioral, creational), evaluating their relevance and impact on maintainability.
Soft Skills/Behavioral
- Team spirit
- Technical leadership, teaching/mentoring ability, ownership
- Clear communication with both business and IT stakeholders
- Sense of quality, rigor, results‑oriented approach
- Pragmatism and solution‑oriented mindset
- Ability to make decisions, present arguments, and persuade
- Curiosity, technology watch, adaptability
Experience & Education
- Previous experience as a Software Architect and/or Tech Lead.
- Proven experience in software architecture; modernization of complex applications or systems.
- Direct contribution: hands‑on experience developing and integrating complex solutions, not only management.
- Familiarity with agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).? A scientific background (physics, mathematics, engineering, etc.) is a plus for better understanding and addressing business needs.
- Knowledge of HPC environment is a plus.
