Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and leadership expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You will be part of the Digital Train Program and Train System Central Team (TSO), working in a multicultural environment. You'll play a pivotal role in enabling Alstom's transition toward a Software‑defined Train, contributing to the development of a Services‑oriented Architecture at system level.
Responsibilities
- Lead the essential stream to develop the reference library related to the essential functions, applying model‑based methodology and continuous delivery.
- Work closely with domain specialists, sub‑system/components engineers and stakeholders to re‑engineer system functional architecture toward a highly upgradeable and scalable system.
- Participate in the Train System Community and Engineering Network worldwide.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps in line with Rolling Stock & Component Platforms.
We’ll look to you for:
- Developing and sustaining logical items off‑cycle for systems and components views.
- Defining, assessing and formalizing the scope split (functional, constructional, interfaces) of Train Sub‑Systems.
- Defining the V&V strategy and test means related to the essential layer.
- Ensuring sizing system capabilities for target topologies and integrating related modeling & simulation tools in SdT tools chain.
- Making interface with domain specialists to ensure optimal performances and proper definition of “law control”.
- Governing the reference library for the essential layer and related data (functions, components models).
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Completion of a full project cycle (from definition to operation).
- Broad knowledge of hardware & electrical architecture.
- Holistic approaches with system‑of‑systems thinking.
- Experience working agile, fostering teamwork, entrepreneurship, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to lead trade‑studies and make decisions.
- Strong communication skills.
