Social Media Strategist
Responsibilities and Qualifications
HomeExchange leads a movement: spreading the power of sharing. Your job is to make us the most desirable social media brand in our category, and to turn organic reach into a real competitive edge.
You are a creative leader. You set the editorial direction, you bring it to life channel by channel, and you rally the teams — communication, marketing, content, community — around clear plans and ideas that make the brand stand out. You think strategy, have plenty of ideas, and are able to implement them.
- Give our brand platform a social media voice, tailored to each channel.
- Build the operating model: content calendar, templates, and coordination of local managers internationally.
- Grow our organic audience and engagement — measurably.
- Define the global social media strategy: audit, competitive benchmark, priority channels (Tiktok?), editorial pillars, and per-channel objectives.
- Translate our brand platform (tone, beliefs, messages) into an editorial line and visual identity specific to each channel.
- Run the international content calendar and coordinate local accounts: reusable templates, guides, inspiration, and consistent publishing. We actually have 9 active social media accounts (Instagram locals, Facebook pages). Not under direct scope are Youtube and Linkedin accounts, need alignment with other teams.
- Oversee the production of creative content (video, image, copy) tailored to each platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook...).
- Spot trends and orchestrate reactive, on‑brand moments that fit our values.
- Design acquisition mechanics (campaigns, contests, influencer program) to boost awareness, engagement, and followers.
- Mobilize our members — our best ambassadors — and activate UGC with the community team.
- Capitalize on key moments and cross‑channel mechanics with the marketing team.
- Define KPIs, track performance, and turn data into actionable recommendations.
- Test new platforms and formats to stay one step ahead.
- Share results and learnings internally, and feed the company's broader growth thinking.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years in social media, including hands‑on ownership of a strategy and coordination of resources.
- Creativity: You have an eye, ideas, and a track record of content that performs organically. You love Social Media.
- Leadership: You bring structure, you rally people, and you move things forward without waiting to be asked. Big plus if you have successfully federated multicultural teams.
- Technical skills: Social management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer…), analytics and AI (Google Sheets, Claude), and creation tools (Canva, CapCut, Figma, Adobe).
- Analytical mindset: You read the data and use it to decide.
- Languages: Fluent English required; French a strong plus (international brand).
