Social Media Manager
Role Description This part-time Social Media Manager role is a hybrid position based in Paris, with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Headway’s social channels to strengthen brand awareness and community engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the content calendar, writing and editing posts, coordinating with design and marketing teams, and ensuring brand voice and messaging are consistent. The role will also involve monitoring social conversations, responding to comments and messages, and identifying opportunities to highlight therapist and patient stories in a respectful, compliant manner. In addition, the Social Media Manager will track performance metrics, optimize campaigns, and provide regular insights and recommendations to improve reach and engagement in key markets.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to grow and engage audiences across major platforms.
- Strong Communication and Writing skills, with the ability to convey complex mental health topics clearly and empathetically.
- Experience with Content Strategy, including planning editorial calendars and aligning social content with broader marketing goals.
- Proficiency with social media analytics tools (e.g., native platform insights, Sprout, Hootsuite, or similar) and data-driven optimization.
- Prior experience managing social channels for a mission-driven, healthcare, or tech organization is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment and to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with mental health topics and sensitivity to confidentiality, inclusivity, and respectful storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
