Site Services Manager – Airport Equipment Installation
We are an international industrial group specialising in airport equipment. We are recruiting a Site Services Manager for a new passenger boarding bridge installation programme at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. You will serve as our primary on-site operational focal point, coordinating the airport client, engineering teams, subcontractors and project partners across the full lifecycle: from installation preparation, testing, acceptance through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact with the airport operator and all project stakeholders; organise and attend project meetings, issue clear meeting minutes, and track action items, owners and deadlines until full closure.
- Coordinate preparation and submission of technical documentation, including execution plans, drawings, interface matrices, supporting notes, method statements, client comments, variation orders and as-built records.
- Plan site surveys, logistics, site access, resource allocation and work windows in compliance with airport live operations; proactively mitigate constraints arising from parallel airport operations, night shifts, off-peak and weekend works.
- Oversee subcontractor delivery covering schedule, quality, HSE, working procedures and progress reporting; verify readiness of personnel, lifting equipment, tools, spare parts and mandatory documentation prior to every site intervention.
- Supervise on-site installation and provide technical guidance for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control system works within your scope; coordinate technical support from the equipment manufacturer and internal engineering teams.
- Prepare and oversee testing, commissioning support, inspections, punch-list clearance, end-user training, acceptance sign-off, handover and completion of the final technical document package.
- Maintain up-to‑date project schedules, risk registers, non-conformity logs, change records and decision logs; elevate promptly any issues that compromise safety, quality, airport operations or contractual commitments.
- Provide regular progress updates to global management and group engineering teams in English. No contractual, financial, technical or schedule commitments shall be made without formal written delegated authority.
Required Profile
- Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or Automation Engineering, or equivalent proven professional experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial installation, construction or project delivery, with solid track record of on‑site leadership and subcontractor management.
- Proven hands‑on involvement in at least one end‑to‑end project covering preparation, installation, testing, punch‑list resolution and client acceptance / handover.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, method statements and test documentation; strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control system interfaces.
- Demonstrated competence in schedule control, HSE coordination, quality assurance and project document management within an industrial site environment.
- Professional working proficiency in French (spoken & written), capable of independently leading meetings and producing actionable meeting minutes; operational English for international reporting and cross‑border meetings.
- Valid right to work in France, Category B driving licence, and availability to work mainly on‑site at Paris-CDG, with flexible shift hours as required by approved work windows.
Advantageous Experience
- Prior experience within an operational airport, ideally with Groupe ADP, passenger boarding bridges, aircraft stand equipment, baggage handling systems, 400Hz power units, PCA or other airport critical systems.
- Hands‑on experience with site acceptance testing, punch‑list management, as‑built documentation and coordination with airport operations, maintenance, safety and security departments.
- Familiarity with mainstream project scheduling and document control software. Mandarin language capability is a plus for alignment with group teams, but not mandatory.
Package & Recruitment Process
Indicative annual gross base salary: €60,000-€75,000, commensurate with experience and level of autonomy, complemented by a performance‑based variable bonus. Travel arrangements, company vehicle and compensation for shifted‑hour works will be discussed during the recruitment process.
