We are looking for a motivated and experienced Site Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy.
The Site M&E Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the installation of mechanical and electrical systems as part of the construction of HVDC converter stations in France. The Site Electrical Supervisor will report to the Civil Construction Manager and be part of the site management team.
How you’ll make an impact
- Supervise all on‑site mechanical and electrical systems installation activities.
- Develop and implement detailed work plans and schedules for M&E tasks, ensuring alignment with the overall project timeline.
- Perform regular inspections to ensure M&E works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. Identify and correct any non‑conformities promptly.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental rules on site. Conduct safety briefings, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare or review M&E ITPs and ITRs, maintain daily logs, progress reports, and all required documentation. Ensure execution documentation is available and up to date. Prepare and coordinate red‑marked drawings with subcontractors and engineering.
- Proactively identify issues related to M&E works and collaborate with internal teams or stakeholders to resolve them.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth project execution.
Your profile
- Engineering degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience supervising mechanical and electrical systems installation, preferably on large‑scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of M&E engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and applicable standards. Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, with solid knowledge of HSE regulations. Safety certifications are an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively at all levels.
- Familiarity with project management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to travel and work on different project sites as needed.
