The role
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Site Manager to lead industrial installation and machinery relocation projects across Europe. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, and delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring excellent organizational skills, strong technical understanding, and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management
- Lead and supervise industrial installation, machinery relocation, and commissioning activities on customer sites.
- Organize daily site operations and ensure work progresses according to the project schedule.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and subcontractor teams on site.
- Ensure resources, equipment, tooling, and materials are available when required.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve site issues.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in project planning and daily execution.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
- Support change orders, project variations, and cost control activities.
- Monitor project risks and elevate issues when necessary.
Client Relationship
- Act as the main site contact for customers and subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Build strong relationships with clients while maintaining a professional and solution‑oriented approach.
- Ensure customer expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Health, Safety & Quality
- Promote a strong safety culture across the site.
- Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and local regulations.
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Monitor quality standards throughout the project.
- Manage punch lists, non‑conformities, corrective actions, and project close‑out activities.
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate multidisciplinary site teams.
- Allocate work effectively while ensuring productivity and quality.
- Support the onboarding of new employees and subcontractors.
- Foster teamwork and effective communication across all project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Industrial Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar leadership role within industrial installation, machinery relocation, manufacturing, automation, or mechanical/electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of industrial installation processes and site operations.
- Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent technical qualifications combined with extensive practical experience will also be considered.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to read technical drawings and installation documentation.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Commercial awareness, including cost control, change management, and contract compliance.
- Fluent French and English (spoken and written).
- Valid driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 90%) across Europe.
- Experience in automotive, logistics automation, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with automated material handling systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles.
- First Aid and Health & Safety certifications are an advantage.
