Commissioning Supervisor (CX) – Site Team Installed Base Services

As part of the Site Team Installed Base Services, the Commissioning Supervisor (CX) owns the overall commissioning strategy and plan. They coordinate factory and site testing, lead the commissioning team, interface with stakeholders, document and handover testing results, ensure EHS compliance, manage spare parts requirements, and support international regions (APAC, EA, Pacific).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the commissioning strategy and level-based plan (CX1–CX6), aligning with project schedules and client reliability expectations.
  • Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT), site installation checks, start‑up, functional tests, and integrated systems testing (IST) for power, cooling, controls, and redundancy.
  • Lead the commissioning team of engineers, vendors, and subcontractors, acting as the main interface with the client, project management, contractors, and operations.
  • Maintain traceable records of procedures, test results, punch‑list items, and training; submit reports to the Site Works Manager/Coordinator and Project Manager.
  • Manage testing operations in conformance with safety regulations and the authority granted, including checking measurement instruments and reporting non‑conformances.
  • Update drawings to AS‑BILT status, create RED MARKS folders, and coordinate with the engineering department.
  • Provide weekly reports on hours and costs, propose corrective actions, and assess project risks with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, approve progress reports, schedule third‑party inspections, and manage manpower needs.
  • Apply safety regulations, develop safety plans, and ensure compliance with standing procedures and local requirements.
  • Update business information systems, expenses, charges, and customer equipment databases.

Scope and Environment

  • Part of a Regional Support Platform / Site Works Department.
  • Project technical team based in RSP working across multiple sites/countries.
  • Based in India with international travel on up to 75 % of the working time.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years as a Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor or Commissioning Supervisor.
  • Experience with commissioning of LV and/or MV equipment, including Schneider products (Premset, MCSET, PIX, SE‑PAM, Micom, Easergy, UPS APC Symmetra, Blokset, Okken, Prisma) and competitor equipment (ABB, Siemens, etc.).
  • Knowledge of medium‑ and low‑voltage equipment, power stations, digital system interfacing, and data‑center applications.
  • Ready to work at site 80 % of the time.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal); team‑player mentality.
  • Advanced knowledge of commissioning test principles and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
