Impact you will make
We are seeking a Senior SharePoint Specialist to lead the design and implementation of a new Corporate Portal on SharePoint Online (Modern).
This is a 3–4 month flex‑time contract engagement focused on building a high‑impact, user‑centric intranet hub for 350+ employees across multiple business units.
The role combines architecture and implementation aspects. The project follows an OOTB SharePoint Modern approach for the MVP stage, with potential extension to Power Platform and Viva in later phases.
Responsibilities
- Define SharePoint Modern hub architecture (Home, BU, Core, Culture, Career, Policies, Tools)
- Develop reusable page templates and layouts following Devart brand and UX wireframes
- Configure navigation, permissions, search, and site hierarchy
- Set up Communication and Hub Sites for Devart Group and each Business Unit
- Configure metadata, libraries, lists, and user permissions
- Integrate with Azure AD, Teams, and other tools (PeopleForce, Jira, Confluence)
- Work closely with Product Owner (COO) and IT Lead to align on scope and priorities
- Cooperate with Designer (branding), HR (content), and BU content coordinators
- Conduct regular demos, gather feedback, and refine the solution iteratively
- Create technical documentation, admin guides, and user manuals
- Train content editors and administrators on portal management
- Prepare the final handover package for internal IT and HR teams
Skills we are looking for
- 4–6+ years of experience with SharePoint Online (Modern), preferably in a tech or SaaS environment
- Practical experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, navigation, site design, and content structuring
- Basic understanding of Azure AD integration and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Experience with Power BI embedding and content migration tools
- Knowledge of intranet UX design principles and governance best practices
- Strong communication skills, independence, and self‑organization
- AI‑augmented development — confident use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate customization development (SPFx, JS/TS, PowerShell, Power Platform)
- Proven portfolio of at least 2 modern intranet projects or equivalent Communication/Hub Sites.
