We are looking for a Service Engineer Propulsion with a main responsibility in delivering field service activities and advanced troubleshooting on propulsion systems. The preferred location for this position is Marseille (France) , but nearby locations are negotiable.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Engineer Propulsion, your work will include performing field service interventions, troubleshooting propulsion equipment, and interacting with customers during service execution. You’ll be working as part of a dynamic Field Service team with diverse expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Perform field service activities according to the work plan.
- Execute advanced troubleshooting on propulsion equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä quality, health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Interact with customers during service execution (e.g., introduction meetings, updates).
- Create service work reports and provide progress status internally and externally.
Requirements for the position
- Experience in field service or marine propulsion systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work safely in compliance with HSE standards.
- Good communication skills with customers and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 80% of the time).
